General information:
Welcome to the Croatian Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery's (CSPRAS) website. The Society is a member of IPRAS (International Confederation for Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery), ESPRAS (European Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery - European Section of IPRAS), Croatian Physicians Assembly, and professional representative body for plastic surgeons in Croatia. This site aims to give you an overview of the work of the CSPRAS, and also to give useful information about congresses, meetings and postgraduate courses organised by IPRAS, ESPRAS, CSPRAS and EACS.
Most of the website is open access and has been designed to provide information on plastic surgery for the general public, patients and the medical profession.
The site is under development, and we would welcome any comments and suggestions which could be sent to us for possible future inclusion.
As it was written at the ASPS (American Society of Plastic Surgeons) official web site, plastic surgery encompasses both cosmetic (aesthetic) and reconstructive surgery. Cosmetic (aesthetic) surgery is performed to reshape normal structures of the body in order to improve the patient's appearance and self-esteem. Reconstructive surgery is performed on abnormal structures of the body, caused by congenital defects, developmental abnormalities, trauma, infection, tumors or disease. But, as a member of ESPRAS and IPRAS, the name of our Society was an logical choice.

Here you will also find links that will allow you to find out more about conferences, journals, associations, databases and other information connected to plastic surgeons in Croatia and all around the World.
Before planning any plastic operation in Croatia, we strongly recommend you to check the members list of CSPRAS to find your surgeon who is certified in the specialty of plastic surgery.
