Dubrava University Hospital is one of the leading hospitals of national significance that provides secondary and tertiary healthcare. Annually, more than 25,000 patients are treated in inpatient departments, while more than 1,500,000 health services are provided to more than 400,000 patients in the outpatient department.
It provides the highest level of healthcare and is the base of 10 reference centers of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Croatia. It is precisely in these areas of medical specialties that healthcare is provided to a wider population of Croatia and neighboring countries. Almost 20% of our patients reside outside the City of Zagreb and Zagreb County.
Without a doubt, it is the most modern and the most technically and technologically complex facility in the public health system of the City of Zagreb. In the scope of surgical and internal medicine disciplines, hospital departments are organized as units with about twenty beds that are based on the principle of stepped care. In addition to intensive care units, there are also standardized hospital units where semi-intensive and standard patient care is provided.
In addition to the high-quality healthcare it provides, Dubrava University Hospital is the teaching base of the following schools: School of Medicine, School of Dentistry, School of Pharmacy and Biochemistry of the University of Zagreb, School of Medicine of the Catholic University of Croatia, as well as numerous other faculties and higher education institutions. In addition to teaching activities, scientific researches are also conducted at Dubrava University Hospital and its results are published in reputable scientific journals and presented at numerous national and international scientific and professional meetings.
