Ultreon 2.0 OCT system at the Dubrava University Hospital

Last week, on January 31st and February 1st, we conducted advanced imaging of coronary arteries using the new Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) system, Ultreon 2.0, in the angiography suite of Dubrava University Hospital. These were the first cases performed with the latest generation of this OCT system in the region, and we take pride in offering our patients safer and more intricate interventions in coronary arteries. The Ultreon 2.0 OCT system includes more precise co-registration with angiography, artificial intelligence for analyzing the quantity and distribution of calcifications, automatic and accurate assessment of lesion width and length, as well as appropriate stent expansion and apposition. Additionally, the system enables 3D analysis of complex bifurcations, providing an opportunity to improve treatment outcomes for our patients. We extend our gratitude to the entire angiography team, including operators, instrument technicians, and radiologic technologists, as well as our other colleagues and the support from Abbott and Mark Medical throughout this process.
