The Emergency Department at Dubrava University Hospital is located in the basement level of the hospital building. Upon entering the hospital, follow the signs to the Emergency Department, which is easily accessible from the main entrance.

Mission

Our mission at the Department of Emergency Medicine is to inspire hope and contribute to health and well-being by providing effective quality emergency medical care to every patient with acute and potentially life-threatening conditions, except pediatric and gynecological emergencies. We achieve this through integrated clinical practice, continuous education, harnessing the power of teamwork, and interdepartmental collaboration. We are committed to providing advanced and innovative healthcare and strive to improve our quality through education and by challenging what is possible for health and supporting our changing community.

Information for patients:

An emergency is a medical situation that requires immediate attention and treatment to prevent serious harm or death. Our emergency department operates 24/7 to provide timely and efficient care to all patients in need.

At Dubrava University Hospital, we use a triage system, which means that patients are seen by order of acuity, with those in the most urgent need of care being treated first. This system ensures that patients receive the appropriate level of care based on the severity of their condition.

While waiting in the Emergency Department, we kindly ask for your patience and understanding as our staff work to provide the best possible care to all patients. The average waiting time is around 4 hours unless indicated otherwise.

After receiving care in the Emergency Department, it is important to follow up with your family medical doctor for continued care and treatment. Please remember to bring your relevant medical documentation with you next time you visit.
