After admission (registration), the patients are showed to their room by a nurse where they are provided with a bed, a wardrobe, and hospital pajamas (they can also bring their own).
The patients can hand over their outdoor clothes to the person who accompanied them or to the nurse, who will fill in a form with a list of items that were handed over.
During hospital treatment, the patient’s money, valuables, and documents are handed over to the nurse, who lists those itmes and stores them in the hospital safety box. Otherwise, Dubrava University Hospital is not responsible for personal belongings.
During hospitalisazion, the patient can leave the ward only with the consent of the doctor or nurse.
With the consent of the responsible doctor, the patient can have in the room:
- Medications currently being taken in their original packaging (including vitamins, sleeping pills, eye or nose drops, and similar over-the-counter medications)
- Personal hygiene accessories (toothbrush and toothpaste, shaving accessories, shower gel, toilet paper, sanitary napkins… )
- Pajamas or nightgown, towel, robe, underwear, socks, glasses, contact lenses and contact lens solution, envelope for storing medical reports…
- Book, laptop, cell phone, newspapers
- Personal radio and/or television, if the other patients in the room agree
The use of personal cell phones is not permitted in the intensive care unit and during diagnostic procedures.
